Georges Simenon - The man who watched the trains go
"As an ordinary man," that watching trains go by "and dreamed that life was hidden, can suddenly drop everything in an escape where you mix the crime, terror, exhilaration and lucidity."
The story of a delirium. Although we know well from the start how it ends, the tension is built, dismantled and rebuilt page after page, with a writing simple and incredibly effective, and when the book ends we are perfectly at ease in the mind of the psychopath. Schizoid masterpiece. Ubmr on aNobiiSimenon I absolutely love the "anti-Maigret." This noir (I think we can call it that) creates a unique breathtaking suspense. Brilliantly written, passionate and has the power not to let you close the book until it ends. Absolutely an excellent psychological masterpiece.
