minchia! vorrei riuscire a scrivere più spesso sul blog.Durante il giorno mi dico "sta cosa che m'è successa la devo scrivere, questa notizia va commentata, vogliamo non parlare di B. , la nuova illustrazione la posto ecc.." e alla fine non mi collego neanche.
periodo pieno, poco remunerativo (per ora)
nuovo progetto con un amico, studio di registrazione e promozione..io mi occupo della parte grafica e video (a breve mi piacerebbe pubblicare qualcosa).

- l'altro giorno in fila alle poste pensavo "ma come cazzo è che gli anziani hanno sta fiatella che puzza di salame"?(dietro di me una signora mi stava intossicando).
 devo scrivere a Domande&Risposte di Focus?
- ma quello secondo voi, può essere definito il film di Dylan Dog?
- mi è esploso un capillare nell'occhio..sembro indemoniato...e per accrescere la mia ipocondria ho contattato Dr Google, che stranamente mi ha rassicurato. non morirò, per ora.

- da domani fino a lunedì stacco. 2 giorni . vediamo come va. da lunedì si ricomincia e speriamo che chi mi deve pagare lo faccia!

ARTISTA: "THE NIRO" - EP: "AN ORDINARY MAN" (2008)

Se Davide Combusti non avesse deciso di intraprendere una strada differente allontanandosi dalla sua iniziale band per costruirsi un percorso artistico in solitudine probabilmente non ci saremmo mai trovati di fronte ad un cantautore così moderno.
Se Davide Combusti non avesse iniziato con una band chiamata "The Niro" non avremmo potuto vantarci di ascoltare "The Niro" che altro non è che lo pseudonimo di Davide Combusti rimasto all'artista dopo aver lasciato il suo iniziale gruppo.
La strada vera nel descrivere "The Niro" è dunque quella di un cantautore di appena trentatré anni che è stato capace di concentrare su di se un'incredibile attenzione mediatica ed un seguito davvero singolare per un ragazzo che decide di fare il cantautore in questa epoca.  Molto probabilmente la chiave del successo di questo artista è da individuare nella piena e complessa struttura sonora che riesce a creare semplicemente con una chitarra tra le mani ed una voce da non sottovalutare.
La titanica solitudine musicale, supportata da arrangiamenti di ottimo livello nelle registrazioni, sembrano avergli dato totalmente ragione.
E' da ascoltare tutto d'un fiato il breve ma emozionante EP "An Ordinary Man", nato nel 2008 come una tangibile dimostrazione della creatività di questi due elementi (chitarra e voce) che insieme sembrano dare vita ad una realtà musicale poco catalogabile per sonorità e ritmi.
E' un gioco del destino affidare l'apertura di questo EP a "About Love and Indifference" singolo di maggior successo della tracklist.
"About Love and Indifference" attrae tutta l'attenzione possibile come una canzone toccante che manifesta già soltanto nell'introduzione una voce profonda da parte di chi intona testi rigorosamente in inglese accompagnati da una musica contrassegnata da un costante ossimoro sonoro fatto di antagonismi tra lenti frame di canzoni e veloci stacchi strumentali.
"Mistake" è la ballata anomala di questo cd, dove un'incalzante batteria ed il debutto di un disteso accompagnamento di organo Hammond manifestano la loro "essential opinion for your future".
Il cambio di rotta è evidente con la traccia "Just for a bit" in cui un'intro decisamente più rock rispetto al resto dell'opera è da cornice ad un testo in cui ossessiva è la domanda sentimentale "Why don't you hit me?" Why?"
E' invece "On our hill" incaricata a rappresentare l'epilogo malinconico di questo singolare EP: in questa traccia finale viene fuori lo stile cantautorale puro di The Niro ed il supporto di un'intramontabile arpeggio di chitarra acustica. per questo genere chiara e naturale scenografia a storie che narrano di un mattino in cui "clowns have gone to sleep".
Summing up, the guitar and mellow voice sharp Niro are the symbol of an artist who is able to surprise even the skeptics of the profession.
Niro is proof that art can create good quality work by the singer, the real and sometimes a little too easy in the old way, which if interpreted in this context does not want to go down as a major figure in composition in the music scene today.

BAND: "Garden of MIRO '" - EP: "NEW YEAR'S EVE ep" (2007)

Among the best performers of the post rock in Italy it is impossible not to mention the Gardens of Miro, the rockband Cavriago (Reggio Emilia) in fact, has been able to survive in this landscape so full of dreary-sounding arrogant contamination often halfway between alternative rock and shoegaze.
Jukka Reverberi, Corrado Nuccini, Mira Di Luca and Mirko Venturelli-historical and stable members of the training had produced a 2006-to frame a musical album with great anticipation, "Dividing Opinions" already appeared at first sight like a key reference point "gardens," then states with a substantial following of public concerts and consecrated with an extremely positive critical acclaim.

Version 2.0 "Eaky Meats Plastic Remix" sinks its roots in electronics purest strongly with light synth arpeggios tackled head on by a low open profondo in grado di reclamare un ascolto attento (mediante -tra l'altro- un impianto audio all'altezza) ed in grando di far decollare questa canzone in un electrolistening davvero raffinato.
I "criptati disturbi" dell'intro delle "Opinioni Divergenti" remixate dagli Offlaga Disco Pax rappresentano il tassello chiave dell'EP, è questa infatti la collaborazione a suscitare più attenzioni:
i palati raffinati non verranno delusi, l'immensità e lo spazio che vengono generati dalle manipolazioni elettroniche degli Offlaga al sound di questa canzone ne rendono piena e quadrata la percezione nonostante la voluta assenza delle parole.
Di tutta un'altra dimensione è la "Dividing Opinions 4.0 "(Remix Mapstation) after a foggy intro sovrstando often produces a rapid pace and choosing the basic rhythmic melodic detours that the listener away from the original content of departure.
The more welcome gift with which this review is closed is an outstanding track, inserted at the beginning of the CD: "No One's To Blame" (in collaboration with Paul Anderson) is up to you to create unique sensations for the listener, a ballad-mail from living with your eyes closed, a combination between slow, deep bass and drums can be a musical journey in areas not yet fully explored the music.

Subsonica "Petrol" on a fire of anger and experimentation.

BAND: SUBSONICA - EP: "BENZINA"

With "Petrol" Subsonica signed an EP, released by XXL magazine, which features a sampling of what electronics will be the future of the band near Turin: the album "Eden" out on March 8, in fact we have a 'important advance with the single "Gasoline Ogoshi" inserted just like opening Gasoline EP.
The song "Gasoline Ogoshi," just as stated by Max Cassacco, was born by chance, while creating the album, when they were literally Subsonica "retired" from the campaigns of the jungle north of Piedmont, "often after working a full day on the creation of the new CD, in the evening to spend time with loved on Sep amateur a pseudo-horror-fiction serials that would inevitably find its soundtrack composed by Samuel & Co.

Aspettando l'<<otto-marzo-duemilaundici>> dunque, i fan potranno surriscaldare questo versatile EP e prepararsi per un nuovo album contrassegnato da tracce innovative e sperimentali nel sound e nei testi. Le due creazioni che sono già state rivelate (Eden, ed Istrice) hanno il concreto identikit di essere il frutto di un lavoro svolto sotto il segno di un "hard listening" di qualità che verrà apprezzato by a niche audience, and will require capacity to understand, but which, once deciphered, will be a key step in the path subsonic.
