Oskar è un bambino geniale, con una fantasia impressionante... quando ha paura o si sente solo immagina delle invenzioni particolarissime e divertenti che per un pò lo rassicurano... Inventare un bollitore parlante. Oppure dei microfoni per ascoltare il battito del cuore "tipo che tutti ne inghiottiamo uno, e la sera, andando in strada con lo skateboard, potremmo sentire il battito di tutti gli altri, come una specie di sonar". O magari essere il pupillo di Stephen Hawking. This Oskar thinks and dreams to keep your mind constantly occupied, as far as possible from the memory of his father's death, civilian victim of the attack of September.

Mai novel was so touching (for me).
All books read so far, those deemed "favorites" have had to make room for him .. because he remains inside forever and will not go away ever again .... you will one thousand questions ... thousand answers ... and you'll always feel suspended in space ... between wanting to read and could not get it ... Ironic, funny - very very nice - and at the same time sad, melancholy ... very touching ... but also "strange" ... I would say surreal in some ways.
